Painting Fall Pumpkins With Kids!

Today I went against my better judgment and let the boys get messy painting fall pumpkins!

I’ll be honest here, I usually avoid all things messy but I am forcing myself to step out of my comfort zone.

Sometimes this is necessary to make some great family memories and find new family traditions!

Supplies Needed

Paint Brushes

Paint Tray Palettes

Washable Paint

Paper Mache Pumpkins

Lots of Wet Wipes!

I found these paintable pumpkins at Joann’s a couple weeks ago and thought they would be so much fun for the boys to paint.

Bonus points that I get a few more fall decorations for the house with an adorable touch!

The boys had so much fun expressing their creative sides!

My two-year-old sat and painted much longer than I anticipated, I just kept his color choices limited and he happily slapped paint on his pumpkin.

My nine-year-old, really took his time coming up with a detailed design and was begging for more painting projects when he finished!

I think next we’ll be trying canvas!

I hope you and your kiddos enjoy painting these fall pumpkins as much as we did!

I’d love to hear what creative fall projects you’re trying with your kiddos!
